Frontline leadership

Leadership & Workforce Sustainability Courses for Team Leaders

Eight courses for team leaders and supervisors, coaching and culture through to burnout prevention and performance conversations, not formal HR process.

Leadership & Workforce Sustainability is CORA's frontline leadership stream, eight courses for team leaders and supervisors rather than support workers. Coaching and feedback, maintaining culture and professional standards, supporting staff wellbeing and burnout, running team meetings, keeping support consistent across shifts, making the shift from support worker to team leader, difficult conversations, and addressing performance. None of it is formal HR process. It's the practical craft of holding a team together day to day.

Most people who end up leading a frontline team were promoted because they were a strong support worker, not because anyone taught them how to supervise one. This stream exists for the gap that creates: the identity shift from doing the work yourself to getting a team of people to do it well and consistently, the coaching conversations that don't come naturally just because you've had a lot of them as the person being coached, and the specific tension of managing people you used to work alongside as a peer.

This is the stream for team leaders, supervisors, coordinators and anyone stepping into their first people-leadership role in disability support, and for the providers deciding who's ready for that step. It matters for retention too. A frontline leader who can coach, hold standards and spot burnout early keeps a team together far longer than one who can't.

Each course builds a leader's understanding and judgement in a real leadership situation. It doesn't replace your organisation's own performance management process or formal HR obligations, and CORA doesn't assess or certify whether someone is ready to lead a team, that decision sits with your organisation.
