What the free course covers
Boundaries are where most support work quietly goes wrong: the gift you were not sure about, the message outside work hours, the client who feels like a friend. Professional Boundaries & Ethics walks through the real decisions, one scenario at a time: gifts, personal disclosure, social media, money, and dual relationships.
It is built the way every CORA course is built: short branching scenarios where you choose what you would actually do on shift and see the consequence, not slides to click through. About 25 minutes, designed for a phone, finishable across as many sittings as you like.
How the free course works
Enter a first name and an email address on the signup page. The course link arrives by email, because the course is built for a phone and the inbox is what carries a link onto one. The link keeps your place, so leaving and coming back costs nothing.
Places are released each day. If today's are taken, the page says so plainly, and tomorrow works.
Why is it free?
Because it is the fastest honest way to judge a training platform. A brochure can say "scenario-based" about anything; a full course either holds a worker's attention on a break between shifts or it does not. Workers get a real course and a real certificate. Providers get to evaluate the course design with their own eyes before looking at published pricing or the full 90+ course library.
What the certificate records
The certificate is the standard CORA certificate of completion, the same one issued across the library. It records that you completed this course. Your own organisation decides what it counts towards.
Worth being precise about the claim: a completion certificate does not establish that a worker is competent on the job. That judgement stays with the worker's organisation and, where observed assessment applies for complex and higher-risk supports, with a qualified assessor. Other free NDIS training worth knowing about
The NDIS Worker Orientation Module is the Commission's own free module and the one piece of training mandated by name for every provider's workers. CORA's free course does not replace it and is not connected to it.
